“The Collaborator” – A Cidermakers Return to Hop, Burns and Black.

It is a great pleasure to be returning to Hop, Burns and Black to spread the word on our new ciders for 2017 and some Oliver’s classics. Always a busy session in south London and I just hope that Jen and Glen don’t expect to go out partying afterwards!
Since we were last there we have been collaborating like mad. The Serpent. At the Hop. FoxBic. Gold Rush#5 is on it’s way soon. Brew by Numbers have a Perry Saison coming out. Urban Farmhouse continue to mash up cider and yeast. What creative, fun times we live in.
The new Vintage 2015 is a direct result of Jen and Glen putting me in touch with Stu McKinlay of Yeastie Boys and it was a real honour for us to have Stu come and join in the blending of the Vintage 2015 Dry Cider. More about that on our blog.
Cider season is here (and so are the world’s best ciders)
We love it when great things happen at once, so this week’s heatwave hitting at the same time as we got a big delivery of amazing new ciders was serendipitous to say the least.
Tom Oliver of Oliver’s Cider & Perry in Herefordshire is regarded as one of the greatest cider makers on the planet. Last year we connected him with Yeastie Boys founder Stu McKinlay as we had a suspicion they might make beautiful beverages together, and so it has proved to be. Oliver’s Vintage Fine Cider Dry Season 2015 was blended by Tom with Stu, who calls it “one of the most amazing drinks experiences I’ve ever had”.
Also, make sure you don’t miss Tom’s new collaboration with Mills Brewing, Foxbic. This glorious 750ml brings together the finest traditions of cider and lambic brewing and is getting more hype from those who know than pretty much anything we’ve seen this year.
